NYX Round Lipsticks

I had been looking at NYX's round lipsticks for a couple of months before I actually bought them. This is because they have so many colours so I literally had no idea about which ones to pick.

These are the ones I eventually decided to get:

L-R Fig, Paris, Tea Rose, Spellbound, Femme, Pumpkin Pie

Top row, L-R - Spellbound, Fig, Pumpkin Pie
Bottom row, L-R - Femme, Tea Rose, Paris

How lovely are these colours? Considering I bought each one from a US site for $2.25, which is pounds is about £1.41. All together, the order was $22.00 (£14ish) with shipping costing $9.00 (£5.50ish). The pigmentation of each lipstick is just brilliant, I would have thought they would have cost about £8 each or more if I didn't know the price. The formulas seem really good, really pigmented as I said before, and nice and creamy. However, they don't seem too creamy, so they won't just slide right off. I will go through each colour individually and tell you what I think about them (in order of the above picture):

Spellbound: A bright pink. I simply can't put it better than that really. It's more of a hot pink than a fuschia, as it is slightly darker. This is one colour which I wouldn't wear much makeup on the eyes because it would be too much and I want the lipstick to look a statement, not like a 5 year old going through her mam's makeup bag!

Fig: A gorgeous lighter pink. I don't know why it's called Fig though.. It will be such an easy everyday colour to wear, but it will also be great to jazz up an outfit on a night out!

Pumpkin Pie- This was the shade I was most looking forward too! It is a peachy nude and looks perfect on the swatch above. However, when I put it onto my lips, the colour disappears and it's not nude at all, it looks more gold. I don't know where the gold is coming from because I can't detect any in the swatches. It must just be the colour of my lips! :(

Femme- A bright red coral with no shimmer. Perfect for next summer when coral will probably be in again. Also, I suppose it's a variety of red, so will look nice when red lips are big. Very, very pigmented, only needs one swipe and even then I would probably smudge it to make it slightly less vivid.

Tea Rose- This name is perfect for the lipstick. Well it's certainly Rose. It's not as bright as Fig, and has more of a browny/red undertone to it. Not much though. Again, perfect for everyday wear!

Paris- My favourite! A lilac based pink which is just SO gorgeous! It's a different type of pink to the others I bought, and I can't wait to wear it. This will be the first colour I wear!!

I'm SO pleased with these lipsticks, I just wish the brand was easier to get hold of over here!

Lots of love
