Batiste 'with a hint of colour'

I'll be honest, I have never liked dry shampoo. Not just Batiste (well it was the only one I had tried), but just generally. I hated the way it made my roots look like they were of a woman 50 years my senior. I loved the idea though because as someone who has naturally oily hair, an instant refresh spray seemed like the perfect idea to me.

Batiste seemed like it was everyone's 'must have' product and I tried so hard to love it but I just couldn't...

Enter Batiste 'with a hint of colour'. A range of dry shampoos catered to different hues of hair, AT LAST!! There are three different colours to choose from including a light shampoo designed for blondes, a medium colour for light to medium brown hair and a dark shampoo for dark to very dark hair. This review will be based on the medium one and I can't speak on behalf of those with blonde or very dark hair.

Like he rest of the Batiste range, this dry shampoo is designed to transform oily and lifeless hair into fresh and bouncy hair. I believe it does both of these things. I admit, it doesn't keep my hair fresh all day so it may have to be applied a few times a day (I don't mind this though). It also gives gorgeous volume to the hair and will be a lot healthier for your hair than backcombing. It also became an essential of mine on holiday as it was perfect for reviving my roots after I had applied spf along my parting!

So the crucial part, what's the colour like? Brilliant. It blends in SO well with my hair and is almost impossible to notice. It does have to be shaken though because if it's left too long to settle then it will appear slightly grey. I also believe this could blend in with dark auburn hair too.

So this has really become a lifesaver for me, I'm so glad I bought it and I think I will be using it for a long time to come.

What's your favourite type of Batiste?

This is priced at £3.99 on the Superdrug website. I wouldn't pay that price for one can as I believe it runs out super quick, but it is on offer quite a lot so keep your eyes peeled!! (I'm a VERY tight student if you hadn't have guessed...)

Lots of love

  2. I can vouch for the blonde variation, I love it. It's slightly toned so knocks out some brassiness too which is always good :)
