After reading Georgie's top 5 lipstick post, I was totally inspired to do one. I love reading these 'top 5, top 10...' posts, so why shouldn't I do one myself! I might carry on doing a series like this is anyone could give me any ideas on what to do?
I also got tagged by Steph to tell you my favourite lipsticks, so here we go! :)
I really love lipstick and in the last 2 years, my collection has grown from virtually nonexistent to a collection of around 25, maybe a bit more?! My collection is a mixture of high street brands and MAC but I love them all.
So here are my top 5! *drumroll*
L-R- MAC Cut A Caper, MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2, MAC Chatterbox, NYX Paris, NYX FigSo here are some swatches and information about each lipstick:
1. MAC Cut A Caper
Now THIS is probably my all time favourite lipstick. Unfortunatly it was LE shade in the Tartan Tale collection, but I really, really hope MAC repromote it. It has been said to be similar to MAC Everhip and I also think it's quite similar to MAC Ravishing. It is a lustre finish which means it has to be layered quite a lot, but it feels so lovely and moisturising so I'm not too bothered! I really, really hope I can get my hands on something similar as it is running out quickly!
2. MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2

4. NYX Paris
This is probably my 2nd favourite lipstick. It's so different to something I normally wear. It shouldn't look right on my skin tone as it's very blue undertoned, but it's just gorgeous! NYX lipsticks are fantastic. They are SO pigmented it's crazy but they do slip off the lips a bit more than MAC ones. It's just amazing. It's also a close shade to MAC Up The Amp I think, so it's a good cheaper alternative.
5. NYX Fig
Like the previous lipstick, the application of this lipstick is just brilliant. It's a perfect everyday dusky pink which is easy to wear in every everyday situation.
I wish NYX cosmetics were more easily accessible in the UK, however this ebay seller is probably the best one to buy from!

they are all so pretty and i definatley wish NYX was more acessible! I have a few NYX lipsticks, my face is tea rose for everyday and power which is a pink lilac which looks gorgeous with a tan for summer x

I love the swatch of Chatterbox (which is kind of stupid because I have it and never remember to wear it). My lipstick collection has grown like crazy in the past year too.
