I often find that red lipstick is a little hard to wear sometimes, hence why I enjoy wearing coral as it is a nice little alternative to it. Both lipsticks are a bright coral shade and they are also both very pigmented, so not for the fainthearted!
So, on with the swatches!
L-R- NYX Femme, MAC Vegas Volt
Top- NYX Femme, Bottom- MAC Vegas Volt
So... are they similar? YES. Is Femme a full on dupe? No, not 100%... but it's a fab cheaper alternative! As you can see on the hand swatches, Femme is ever so slightly darker than Vegas Volt. However, once applied to the lips I think they are very similar. Formula is amazing for both lipsticks, Vegas Volt is an Amplified Creme formula so it's so lovely to apply and all NYX Round Lipsticks are beautifully creamy and opaque.
So, if you aren't too bothered about a cheap packaging issue compared to the more expensive lipstick, I think you should go for Femme! It's very similar so I don't see why not!

In the bullet and on the swatches I would've said MAC would be my choice, but seeing it on the lips I really love the NYX, it seems to make the lips look fuller. Jude xx @jadlgw

ReplyDeleteI love MAC lipsticks. I have a very deep red one. I actually have some pics of me wearing it in Malta up on my blog at the moment. The NYX looks fab on though. I will have to try it :)
